Contribution Or Commitment

A wise man once asked me if I knew the difference between a contribution and a commitment. I told him I hadn’t given much thought to it. He said, ” young man, next time you sit down to eat breakfast, be sure to order bacon and eggs. Take a good long look at that meal before you indulge, and consider this, the chicken made a contribution, the pig made a commitment.”
