One Like The Son Of Man Part 8 ( Conclusion )

Revelation 1.12-20. 12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like the son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, 15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.

The Crown

Matthew 27.29 They twisted together a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and placed a reed in His right hand. And they knelt down before Him and mocked Him: “Hail, King of the Jews!”

A while back my father took our entire family to London England on vacation. It was one of the funnest times of my life. While we were there, we checked out The Tower Of London, where The Crown Jewels are on display. It’s definitely the type of thing you’ll never forget seeing. I didn’t know it was even possible for a diamond to be as big as The Star Of Africa. It was truly unbelievable.  Continue reading “The Crown “

The Great Sin

Isaiah 14.13-15  You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north;I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit.

There’s one sin everybody is guilty of. It’s the most evil sin of all. It’s the essential vice. The main ingredient in a sinful nature. It leads to every other sin. It’s how the devil became the devil. It’s the utmost evil. Continue reading “The Great Sin”

Finding Refuge

Psalm 63.1 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

This life and this world are marred by sin. We’re constantly experiencing the effects of it. We see it in nature. We see it in people. We see it in ourselves. Often it feels like it’s everywhere.  Continue reading “Finding Refuge “

God Helps Those Who Can’t Help Themselves

Colossians 2.13,14 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.

I’m sure you’ve heard the age old cliche ” God helps those who help themselves “. Although I understand what people are trying to say when they use this expression, make no mistake it’s not in The Bible. It’s not a Bible verse and I believe God left it out intentionally.  Continue reading “God Helps Those Who Can’t Help Themselves “

Restored

Psalms 23.3 He restoreth my soul.

Recently God gave me a wonderful experience. My mother wanted to restore a vintage Airstream travel trailer. So my father and I set out to find her one at a bargain price. For over a year all three of us shopped but couldn’t seem to find a good deal. Continue reading “Restored  “
